We offer our remote outpost camps to gay vacationers as destinations where one can find solitude, beauty and wilderness experiences.

Fly-in to one of our comfortable outpost fishing camps in Northern Ontario. We offer over a dozen camps on and remote lakes where the fishing is spectacular, the wilderness is unblemished and one can get in touch with nature and no one can get in touch with you! Our camps offer the prospects of wilderness exploring and hiking, wildlife watching and fishing for Trout, Walleye and Northern Pike. All the camp equipment you need is provided including the flight in and out from one of our float plane bases.

The privacy and solitude to be found in Northern Ontario at a remote fly-in cabin is unlike any other vacation destination. Your cabin is the only cabin on the lake and there isn't another other living soul for miles, other than your companions. The beauty and dulcet sounds of the wilderness replace the hustle, bussel and clammer of Urban life. Living for a short time beside a northern lake is uplifting and offers a chance to renew one's spirit. Exploring our shorelines and tall forests provides one with new interests to focus on, daily exercise and a perfect way to replace urban thoughts with new, less demanding priorities.

Besides fishing, there is a lot to do if you give yourself the opportunity to learn and explore. Bring along a bird book, a wild flowers book and books about the flora and fauna (perhaps a 'Picking Wild Mushrooms book), cameras, compass and some binoculars and do some exploring. There are books that show you how to find and create salads and other dishes from wild plants. These foraging secrets have been passed down to us from first nations peoples and from the stories of original settlers. These secret to harvesting free lunches in the forest have been largely forgotten by most urban dwellers for or a hundred years or so. Happily, many 'Living Off The Land" secrets have re-immerged in new books now in print. They have been gleaned from the collective memories of northern and of the first nations peoples and forgotten texts that have been out of print for dozens of years.

Discover the daily comings and goings of the creatures that live in or frequent the small ponds and marshes are nearby to most lakes where our outpost camps are located! Really; there is as much life and more beauty and more colour in small ponds and marshes as you can find in any neigbourhood shopping strip - its just not as noisy! Over and above the ducks and invertebrates, larger mammals frequent ponds and marshes. Coons, bear, moose, fox, wolves, beaver and otter frequent them daily to hunt or just get a drink, just to name a few. If you are patient, quiet and lucky you may see moose with her calves.

The forests are cool, even at high noon. Sometimes you can find mature stands of pine and hemlock trees so tall that they shade the forest floor. They can give one the idea of what our forests were like before the days of logging. In some area, the forest floor is so uncluttered, and so cushioned you can see for a hundred yards or more and the tree tops have created too much shade for smaller trees to grow and you can and walk on moss and pine needles without making a sound.

Combine two strategies for observing wildlife. Create a blind of some sort beside a pond, or walk stealthfully and into the wind, slowly and silently through a mature coniferous forest and sooner or later you will see something big and exciting.

We can help you plan for such an adventure. Contact us for a list of books currently available that will help you unlock the secrets of our northern boreal forests, lake, marshes, ponds, geology and wildlife. Let us help you plan your trip. We can send you lists of what to bring in terms of the right personal equipment, foods and safety considerations. We can even help you obtain a rental satellite telephone to take with you just in case you need it. Our luxury camps are quipped with two-way radios systems tuned to our base of operations.
